Resumen: 

El fibromixoma acral superficial es una neoplasia benigna rara, que afecta princi­palmente las regiones periungulares y subungulares, caracterizada clínicamente por ser de lento crecimiento y poco sintomática, aunque puede estar asociada a la distorsión de la unidad ungular.

Se describe el caso de un hombre con esta condición dermatológica poco frecuente y se realiza una revisión de la literatura.

Summary: 

Superficial acral fibromyxoma is a rare benign neoplasm that mainly affects the periungual and subungual regions, clinically characterized as a slow-growing and not very symptomatic lesion, although it may be associated with the distortion of the nail.

The case of a man with this unusual dermatological condition is described and a review of the literature is made.
