Resumen: 

La calcinosis cutis es una complicación rara del lupus eritematoso sistémico. Presentamos el caso de una paciente de 24 años con lupus que inicialmente consultó por múltiples abscesos de tejidos blandos. Luego de estudiarla, se logró establecer que el proceso subyacente a las infecciones correspondía a una calcinosis cutis.

Summary: 

Calcinosis cutis is a rare complication of systemic lupus erythematosus. We present the case of a 24 year old woman with lupus, who presented with multiple soft tissue abscesses. After studying the patient we could establish calcinosis cutis as the underlying process of infection.
